Welcome to Levitan & Associates! I am a licensed professional counselor with a deep commitment to fostering positive change in the lives of individuals and families. Since 2015, I have been practicing independently, offering compassionate support and guidance to Washington State and Arizona clients.

As an Army veteran, woman of color, and first-generation American citizen, I bring a rich tapestry of experience and perspective to the practice. My educational background includes a master’s degree in mental health counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Due to my background and life experiences, I am particularly passionate about helping individuals explore and embrace their cultural identity, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment.

My counseling journey was inspired by my unwavering dedication to supporting children with special needs and individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Since 2000, I have been certified in autism testing, including the ADOS, and have had the privilege of working closely with children and families in this capacity. My approach is deeply rooted in understanding and empathy, focusing on each individual’s unique needs and strengths.

I am deeply passionate about working with children and skilled in child development, infusing each session with a person-centered approach. My interests, including video games, anime, Comic-Con, and cartoons, serve as bridges to connect with children on a deeper level. I believe in fostering a safe and accepting environments for all individuals, irrespective of their background or identity.
As a parent of a child with special needs, I understand the challenges and complexities that families face in navigating systems such as DDD and school services. I am committed to empowering parents to advocate for their children and access the best possible services and support. My goal is to be a guiding light for families, providing clarity and reassurance in navigating the journey of raising a child with unique needs.
